Pi Day Fun

JAS celebrated Pi Day today, March 14th. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in math to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.

Pi Day activities included hoopla hoop  competition, freehand circle drawing and a Pie eating contest.

Problem Solving at JAS

Problem solving is a practical skill you need everyday. The coffee pot broke so in order to make coffee we have had to problem solve. There have been three creative solutions so far, that start with an ill fitting coffee pot from another coffee maker.
1) The tape the knife to the sugar method
2) The upside down lid method
3) The hold the spoon method.
