Today Teen Talk came to JAS and gave us some information about sexually transmitted infections. This year Teen Talk has been meeting regularly with our students to educate on sexual health topics and teen safety. One of our students did an awesome sketch of our presenters.

Did you know that you can earn high school credits by doing some work experience? This JAS student got all job ready for her interview with Fabutan today. She practiced her interview skills, had a little lesson on what to wear to an interview, and showed her potential job placement that she was ready to work and earn some high school credits. Well done Lauren.

Well JAS it's Tuesday's Table and we are serving up Poutine. It took some time to wait for the fries to be done but it was worth the wait. Today's helpers included some expert food industry people. Three of our helpers have part time jobs in the kitchen. One vegan put aside her personal preferences for the overall good of the group, and shredded a bunch of cheese. Another helper was a BOSS heaping on the cheesy goodness. Thanks JAS for working together to make Tuesday's Table delicious.

We love it when our students come to school at JAS, especially when it is an In-service day. Some students just can't get enough of us here. Merlee is a good sport and grabbed some cookies for the ride back home. See you on Monday Merlee.

Its a yum yum day at JAS. Today's menu included creamy Parmesan pasta with chicken and broccoli and garlic toast. It pays to come to school for Tuesday's Table at JAS. We want to extend a warm welcome to Sam who helped out on her first day here. Her crew served up the grub. The boys were on garlic toast patrol. Way to work together.

What's cooking at Jameswood? Lunch is cooking!
Tuesday's Table at Jameswood is something you do not want to miss. Every Tuesday students volunteer, (Ahem..... are voluntold), put on an apron, wash their hands and learn some cooking skills. Today's lesson was "How to Make Apple Crisp"complements of Chez Ansloos. (She burned it if the truth be told.) Don't worry, there will be guest chefs in the future! In addition, the lunch menu included chili and steak fries. By the way, the dessert prepared by the students, was enjoyed by all. Tuesday's Table is a tasty way to build school community and learn some cooking skills that will wow your friends and family. Join us at Tuesday's Table.
